(2026-IMO-02) Interim Guidance on the Carriage of Biofuel Blends by Bunkering Vessels.

This Technical Information has been prepared to provide guidance on the Interim Guidance on the carriage of blends of biofuels (MEPC.1/Circ.917) approved at IMO MEPC 83, under which the allowable carriage criteria for biofuel blends by bunkering vessels have been expanded compared to the 2019 Guidelines. In particular, it introduces the key provisions of the Interim Guidance and outlines the matters that should be considered by bunkering vessel owners for proper understanding and compliance.

 

It is hoped that this Technical Information will serve as a useful reference for bunkering vessel owners in understanding and complying with the amended carriage requirements for biofuel blends.
