Title : Guidelines for Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Structure

 

 

This is related to the “Procedure for Development of Classification Technical Rules (QP-08)" 6.2 and

"Instruction for Control of Internal Survey Guidelines, Circular and Technical Information(QI-03)" 5.5.


Regarding the intact/damage stability of floating offshore wind turbines, a new clause has been established to allow flexibility in applying the guidelines, provided that technical and operational feasibility is demonstrated through engineering analysis and Hazard Identification (HAZID), incorporating practical feedback from the 3MW FOWT development and approval process conducted in collaboration with Samsung Heavy Industries.
