  • KR supports the safe operation of smart ships¹⁾ and autonomous ships²⁾ by developing Technologies and guidelines, as well as providing certification services.
    • 1 Smart ships : Ships that can operate safely and efficiently using ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
      2 Autonomous ships : Ships that can support or replace an operator's decision-making by utilizing intelligent systems that are fused with AI (artificial intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things), big data, and advanced sensors.




    • We have expertise in the following technology fields that are linked to smart and autonomous ships, as well as carrying out international standardization activities for the operation of autonomous ships.
    • - Technologies for failure prediction/diagnosis and performance monitoring of engine systems
    • - Technologies for automatic collection and monitoring of ship energy consumption data
    • - Technologies for remote management based on image recognition and support services for PSC inspections
    • - Technologies for cyber security management
    • - Technologies for around view monitoring service supporting pilot works.
    • - Technologies for digital twin implementation
