Types of Remote Survey

    Kind of Survey Supporting Document and Evidence
    Postponement, issuance, deletion of Condition of Class - Master(or Chief Engineer)’s Statement
    - Documentation and evidence related to the COC (e.g. the reason of postponement, report, etc.)
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    Postponement of Class surveys - Master(or Chief Engineer)’s Statement
    - Documentation and evidence related to the postponement
    (e.g. refer to Table.2 below, the reason of postponement, report, etc.)
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    Items of Continuous Survey for Machinery or Planned Maintenance Scheme - Inspection record (e.g. a copy of log book, acceptable computer outputs, etc.)
    - Report by chief engineer (including inspection information, chief engineer’s license)
    - Video files for confirmation of operational condition (e.g. external appearance, gauges, etc.) and chief engineer’s written statement
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    Occasional survey for change of ship’s name - Master’s Statement
    - Documentation and evidence related to the survey
    (Photo for the changed ship’s name at hull, life saving, radio equipment, etc.)
    Occasional survey for loss of anchor - Accident report by ship master
    - Items for loss or damage: anchor/ chain cable accessories
    - Photo for loss of damage
    - Confirmation for the operational condition of another anchor
    - Ship master’s statement that opposite side of anchor is good working condition
    - Purchase order and repair plan

    - Description of performed temporary repair including photos (NDT, etc.)
    - Permanent repair plan
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    Occasional survey for minor deficiencies/defects not subject to a Condition of Class - Master(or Chief Engineer)’s Statement
    - Details of damage reported by ship master or chief engineer including sketches, photos
    - (If necessary) a repair plan and its supporting document
    - Description of performed temporary repair including photos (NDT, etc.)
    - Permanent repair plan
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    In-water bottom survey - Information for the service supplier(Diving company) (In-water survey report, etc.)
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    - Live Streaming is mandatory
    Specified items of a class periodical survey (excluding additional specific items of initial or renewal surveys), including completion of remaining items of a part held class periodical survey - Master(or Chief Engineer)’s Statement
    - Documentation and evidence related to the specified items
    (Of necessary) report by service supplier
    - Others deemed necessary by a surveyor
    Non-propelled / un-manned barges/pontoon . annual surveys when no survey of hull compartments is due - Master(or Chief Engineer)’s Statement
