               (Guidance on Strength Assessment of Container ships Considering the Whipping Effect / 

                Pt 1 Classification and Surveys Annex 1-1 Class Notations)

1. Please be informed that 2025 KR Technical Rules have been amended to reflect the Requests for Establishment/

   Revision of Classification Technical Rules as below, and you are kindly requested to apply these amendments to the relevant works.

Guidance on Strength Assessment of Container ships Considering the Whipping Effect

Immediately

(based on the date for construction contract)

- Introduction of a simplified evaluation formula for the contribution of whipping.

Pt 1 Classification and Surveys Annex 1-1 Class Notations

Immediately

(based on the date for construction contract)

- Class Notation - Change in Additional Special Feature Notations

 

2. Furthermore, please be informed that these amendments will be incorporated in 2026 edition of the KR Technical Rules.
