[LNG Survey Technology Team] Technical Seminar for Hanwha Ocean Ship Inspectors

On July 1st, the KR LNG Survey Technology Team organized an LNGC Technical Seminar for Ship Inspectors at Hanwha Ocean.

As a component of a technical exchange session focused on the new LNGC commissioned by Qatar Gas - Korea Green LNG consortium to Hanwha Ocean, the seminar featured discussions on topics including the LNG Dual Fuel Engine, on-site inspection of GTT No.96 CCS, and the inspection of newbuildings in accordance with the IGC Code.

KR remains committed to delivering comprehensive support and collaboration to ensure the successful completion of the project.

[Diversification Business Team] Technical Seminar for Hyundai Steel

On 13 July, the Diversification Business Team held a technical seminar as part of technical exchange meeting with Hyundai Steel (Dangjin Factory).

The seminar was organized to share information on classification rules and international convention trends for shipbuilding steels, discuss certification and third-party inspection for industrial steels such as LNG storage and wind turbines, and plans for third-party verification of carbon-reducing steels.

Through this exchange meeting, Hyundai Steel commented that KR's introduction of the revised classification rules and IACS trends related to shipbuilding steels will help them proactively respond to the carbon-neutral market.

KR plans to continue to collaborate with Hyundai Steel on third-party inspections in industries such as cryogenic steel for land and extremely thick steel plates for wind turbines, and to cooperate on product carbon footprint verification based on ISO 17029 and 14067 for carbon-reduced steel in the future.
