At its Busan headquarters on July 21, KR issued a Statement of Fact (SOF) for EES CII Real-Time Analysis, a GHG IT system developed by EES.

As regulations to decarbonize ships accelerate around the world, efficient management and data quality of real-world ship operational data is essential.

Related IT companies are developing various systems to provide timely regulatory response and efficient operational solutions for ship owners/managers. However, new IT companies face many difficulties in entering the shipping industry and are desperately seeking ways to ensure the reliability of their systems.

KR provides GHG IT system evaluation services to assist start-up IT companies and support effective management of marine GHG data and efficient regulatory response.

In this context, EES has developed a system that ensures real-time verification of ships' Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) ratings. This is achieved by immediately collecting noon reports from the ships—a measure designed to align with CII regulations.

KR evaluated whether the system was developed in accordance with the regulations set by the IMO and issued a SOF based on the evaluation results.
