Recently, Korean Register carried out improvement work on the certificate issuance system to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of issuing various certificates related to the transportation of solid bulk cargoes.

As a result, the entries of various convention certificates (i.e. IMSBC SOC, CDG DOC, and SOLAS exemption certificate for FFEA) related to the transportation of solid bulk cargoes will be modified as detailed in the attached Technical Information (2022-ETC-04).

These changes will apply to the certificates issued, renewed or reissued on or after 28 December 2022.

However, please note that a ship’s condition and/or transportable cargoes, to which existing certificates have guaranteed, are generally deemed maintained (except for solid bulk cargoes not specified in the IMSBC Code), as the measures in this Technical Information have arisen from the improvement of our certificate issuance system.
