The California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved the “2007 At-Berth Regulation”,the Airborne Toxic Control Measure for Auxiliary Diesel Engines Operated onOcean-Going Vessels At-Berth in a California Port, on December 2007.
In this regard, CARB adopted the "2020 At-Berth Regulation,"which amends the "2007 At-Berth Regulation" and expands the scope toinclude additional vessel types (such as ro-ro vessels and tankers) and shipequipment (including auxiliary boilers on tankers).
Accordingly, shipowners and ship operators are advised to refer to theattached Technical Information (2025-US-01) for the key points of theregulation for reference in related work.
This technical information supersedes the previoustechnical information 2013-ETC-09.
