Subject : 9.203 Notice for Amendments to KR Classification Technical Rules

(Guidance for Cyber Resilience of Ships and Systems / Guidance for Maritime Cybersecurity System)

1. Please be informed that the amendments have been made to reflect IACS Resolutions,

IMO Circulars and Requests for Establishment/Revision of Classification Technical Rules,

and you are kindly requested to apply the amendments on the relevant works according

to effective date.

- Established a new notation for existing ships

- Revised the structure and current

application requirements

Guidance for Maritime

Cybersecurity System

The application date
for survey on or after
01.05.2025

- Survey for ships cyber security is to be
carried out in accordance with
“Guidance for Cyber Resilience of
Ships and Systems” after the effective date

- Revised requirements so that the “CS Ready”
notation may be withdrawn if it is not
updated within one year after delivery

2. Furthermore, please be informed that the amendments will be included in 2025 edition

on Classification Technical Rules which will be published in the first half of 2025.
