The Maritime Safety Committee, at its109th session (2 to 6 December 2024), approved the MSC.1/Circ.1460/Rev.5, taking into account concerns over the availability of VHF radiocommunication equipment compatible with the frequencies and channeling arrangements set out in appendix 18 of the ITU Radio Regulations (RR) – Edition 2020.

In this regard, the relevant technical information is issued, and Ship owners, equipment manufacturers, service suppliers and other relevant parties are advised to refer to it.
