KR successfully hosted the 31st ISO Annual Seminar on November 18, providing a platform for information sharing and engagement with customers. The ISO Annual Seminar is held each year to support KR’s clients in establishing effective sustainability strategies and to provide updates on key industry issues along with expert insights.
This year’s program covered the latest trends in ISO management system standards, the emerging Artificial Intelligence Management System (ISO 42001), and the importance of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001). KR also introduced MariNote.AI, an AI agent specialized for the maritime industry developed by KR. In addition, M2N Co., Ltd. and Techcross shared best practices on implementing ISO management systems, receiving strong interest from participants.
During the seminar, KR presented appreciation plaques to six companies—Dongbang Ship Machinery, Shilla Metal, M2N, Insung Dangjin Plant, KROSYS, and HI DUCT—in recognition of their excellence in operating ISO management systems and their long-term maintenance of KR certification.
RYU Kyoungboo, Head of KR’s New Business Enhancement Agency, stated, “While ISO certification has traditionally focused on process compliance, the new challenge lies in managing and demonstrating non-financial risks such as AI, ESG, and supply chains. In this new era of ISO certification, KR will move beyond the role of a conventional certification body and become the most trusted partner for the AI and ESG era.”
