“ISM Full Ahead, PSC Detention STOP”
KR has been designated as an International Safety Management System (ISM) Certification Body under the ISM Code by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries for over 25 years. This means that KR has government inspection rights for the ISM Code in more than 70 countries, including Panama and Liberia and provides audit services for International Safety Management Systems.
The Statutory System Certification Team has developed a poster to help domestic and foreign shipping companies and vessels avoid PSC detentions related to certification audits.
KR regularly holds PSC seminars to strengthen its customers' PSC response capabilities and provides PSC-related information through its website and public notices. In January this year, KR developed the mobile application "KR PSC Adviser" to make existing PSC information and services easier and more convenient to use.
KR will continue to systematically monitor the safety of registered vessels and strive to improve the quality of inspections to prevent PSC citations.
