KR was invited to present at the International Shipping Forum 2023 (ASA ISF 2023) hosted by the Asian Shipowners' Association (ASA) at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore on 26 April 2023.

Under the theme of "Blue and Safe Shipping", speakers from major organizations and institutions, including the Secretary-General of the IMO delivered and shared information through six presentations and two-panel discussions at this ASA ISF 2023.

Dr. SONG Kanghyun, Head of Decarbonization Ship R&D Center, gave a great impression to the audience by presenting "How to respond to IMO GHG regulations", which covered IMO strategies to promote the use of green fuels, current alternative fuel trends and issues, shipowner options and case studies. 

Dr. SONG also engaged in a panel discussion on the CII framework as a panelist, where he explained that providing optimized solutions through AI-driven big data collection is becoming a reality. He stressed that the acceleration of decarbonization could be a crisis for the maritime industry, but be a golden opportunity to take further steps in the future maritime industry.

Currently, KR is conducting various studies to address the industry's concerns due to the acceleration of global decarbonization and will continue to make great efforts to meet the industry's needs.
