SeaTrust-HullScan V3 performs structural analysis for various types of vessels and marine structures by using FEM (finite element modeling). It has been widely used by leading shipbuilders and research institutes since its first release in 2014. South Korea’s major shipbuilders use SeaTrust-HullScan as standard software for CSR (Common Structural Rules) applications.

The Tripartite meeting has been held annually as a meeting body for technical consultation among classification societies, shipyards, and shipowners. The meeting is organized by the shipowner’s associations (BIMCO, ICS, INTERCARGO, and INTERTANKO), co-hosted by the Asian classification societies (KR, NK, and CCS) and Asian ship-builder associations (KOSHIPA, SAJ, and CANSI), by rotation. In addition, the meeting is held in the appropriate venue in one of the Asian classification society nations.

At the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) 77, guideline (Res.MEPC 340(77) *) related to the approval of the Exhaust Gas Cleaning System (EGCS) was released. EGCS is also known as a scrubber and is one of the ways to respond to regulations related to ship fuel oil content.
