KR is introducing a comprehensive training program designed to support the shipping industry’s response to decarbonization. While previous programs focused on specific areas of decarbonization, this new course integrates the full spectrum of decarbonization topics into a single curriculum, covering global regulations, energy efficiency, next-generation fuels, and fleet strategies.
The training will be led by working-level experts from KR’s research institutes and technical divisions who are directly involved in vessel certification and regulatory compliance. Unlike conventional theory-focused education programs, the course will provide practical expertise and field-tested know-how gained through real-world operations. Another key feature is its practice-oriented curriculum designed to be accessible even to participants without technical backgrounds. The course is structured not only for technical teams at shipping companies but also for shoreside personnel in sales, maritime operations, insurance, and related fields, enabling them to better understand decarbonization issues and establish effective response strategies. KR also plans to offer advanced follow-up courses in the Seoul area in the future.
