On February 20, the Korean Register (KR) announced the launch of the SeaTrust Software Hub following the revamp of its technical software website.

The update focuses on providing information about KR’s technical software in a more intuitive and systematic manner, while also offering a single, integrated platform to efficiently manage the entire process—from software use and inquiries to feedback on improvements.

A key highlight of the renewal is the introduction of an AI-based feedback processing system. The new website analyzes user inquiries using AI and automatically assigns and forwards them to the relevant staff members. In addition, the AI is trained on various technical documents and manuals, email records, and past feedback data to automatically generate suggested responses. As inquiry and response data continue to accumulate, the system is designed to continuously improve the quality of responses. This development is expected to significantly enhance both the speed and accuracy of handling inquiries.

The website structure has also been extensively reorganized. It has been rebuilt as an integrated hub where all KR technical software can be searched and downloaded in one place. This includes SeaTrust-HullScan, a hull structural strength calculation program widely used by shipyards and design companies, as well as web-based solutions such as tools for calculating route-dependent reduction factors used by container shipping companies.

KIM Daeheon, Executive Vice President of KR, stated, “This renewal was carried out to strengthen accessibility to KR’s technical software and enhance user convenience, while enabling feedback from the field to be more quickly reflected in technology development and service improvements.” He added, “We hope the SeaTrust Software Hub will evolve beyond a simple repository of tools into a digital knowledge center where field experience and technical expertise are accumulated and shared.”

The SeaTrust Software Hub can be accessed after registering as a member through the official website or KR-DAON.
