Pursuant to the amendments to MARPOL Annex VI, ships of 5,000 GT and above engaged in international voyages are required to revise SEEMP Part II and Part III, obtain approval by the Administration or RO by 31 December 2025, and keep the approved SEEMP together with the Confirmation of Compliance (CoC) on board.

• Incorporation of IMO DCS enhanced granularity (MEPC.385(81), MEPC.395(82))
• Introduction of “Under way/Not under way” definitions (MEPC.401(83)); fuel oil consumption during “Not under way” to be separately recorded and reported from 2026 onwards
• Establishment of the next three-year SEEMP Part III implementation plan (2026–2028) subject to verification and approval
