MacNet Strategic Seminar Highlights Future of Digital Innovation

On April 30, the Maritime Cluster Networking in Korea (MacNet) held a strategic seminar at the Grand Ballroom of the ASTI Hotel Busan, under the theme “Current Status and Future of Digital Innovation Technologies for Ship Operation, Fleet Management, and Environmental Response”


Hosted by MacNet with support from Busan Metropolitan City and Korean Register (KR), the seminar served as a platform to showcase cutting-edge technologies from leading domestic software providers and explore collaborative strategies for addressing current and future challenges in the maritime sector.

The seminar featured two main sessions and a keynote speech by Park Sanghyen, Account Executive of Microsoft Korea, on the development and outlook of digital technologies.

A MacNet representative highlighted that “as environmental regulations become increasingly stringent, the role of software companies is more critical than ever,” and added “this seminar was a timely opportunity to explore the latest digital innovations from Korea’s software industry leaders and to discuss concrete cooperation strategies for digital transformation and regulatory compliance in the maritime industry.”
