On 19 September, 45 participants from the IMO GHG Smart Program visited KR headquarters to experience KR's leading digital solutions and decarbonization insights. Participants toured KR's LNG propulsion and bunkering simulation center, KR-ISC (Integrated Survey Center), and experienced KR's VR bunkering simulator and ultimate GHG solution, KR GEARS.
The GHG SMART program is part of IMO's training program aimed at assisting Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in implementing GHG reduction strategies and risk assessment. The program is funded by the Korean government and the trip to KR was organized by the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority.
