KR successfully hosted the 5th K. LNG Owners Forum on February 5 at La Valse hotel in Busan, bringing together over 50 experts and representatives* from leading LNG shipping companies, shipyards, and engine manufacturers in Korea.

KIM Yeontae, Executive Vice President of KR Technical Division, has been elected Chairman of the Tanker Structure Co-operative Forum (TSCF) during TSCF Steering Committee meeting held in Seoul from February 12-13, 2025. His term as Chairman will run for two years, from February 2025 to February 2027.

As the application of unmanned and autonomous navigation technologies in maritime defense systems continues to accelerate worldwide, the Republic of Korea Navy and Korean Register have collaborated to develop the world’s first military Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) design guidelines.

This is related to the “Procedure for Development of Classification Technical Rules (QP-08)" 6.2 and "Instruction for Control of Internal Survey Guidelines, Circular and Technical Information(QI-03)" 5.5.
