On July 31st, KR proudly announced the successful delivery of the innovative low-carbon sailing cargo ship, SV Juren Ae (IMO no. 1021245), to the Marshall Islands Shipping Corporation (MISC).

The power supply through the Cargo Switchboard (CSBD) is essential for the operation and cargo handling of large merchant ships such as container ships and LNG carriers. An analysis of CSBD operating costs indicates that 28% of the total life cycle cost is attributed to concept development, design, and production, while the remaining 72% is spent on maintenance. This highlights the critical importance of cost reduction during the maintenance phase.

August 2, 2024 - KR Busan Branch Office successfully held a technical seminar on methanol-fueled 9,000 TEU container vessel with HMM Ocean Service. This seminar was hosted with support from the Gas Carrier Survey Technology Team and the Dry Cargo Ship Team, focusing on vessels under construction by HJ Heavy Industries. The seminar aimed to provide comprehensive information on methanol-fueled propulsion systems in collaboration with HMM.
