On October 16, KR successfully held the ‘2024 KR Technology Seminar’ at the Plaza Hotel in Seoul. The seminar showcased KR's unique technological achievements to domestic clients, amid the rapid development of AI convergence technology in the maritime sector. With this, KR also provided a platform for exchanging diverse perspectives on maritime tech trends.

KR has recently published a technical report on 'Safe Maritime Transport of Electric Vehicles Using Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs)' to address timely issues related to electric vehicle fires.

In alignment with the objectives set forth in the UN Climate Change Framework Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has instituted a rule aimed at curbing air pollution resulting from ship emissions. This initiative incorporates Annex VI into the MARPOL 73/78 Convention.
