As part of its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the European Commission (EC) introduced the "EU Fit for 55" legislative package in July 2021. The "Fit for 55" package aims to reduce GHG emissions by 55% from 1990 levels by 2030. One of the components directly linked to international shipping is the FuelEU Maritime regulation.

Please be informed that 2024 Classification Technical Rules have been amended as below/attachments, and you are kindly requested to apply these amendments to the relevant works.

This is related to the “Procedure for Development of Classification Technical Rules (QP-08)" 6.2 and "Instruction for Control of Internal Survey Guidelines, Circular and Technical Information (QI-03)" 5.5.
