The ship's life is becoming shorter and shorter during operation
due to corrosion and wastage even in circumstances where the ship is repaired
and maintained regularly.
Therefore, owners need to assess the ship's remaining life when making plans
for future repairs or order of a new ship.
Owners are always trying to get technical information on a vessel's condition
during operation. In response to owner's need, KR planned KR-CAP (KR-Condition
Assessment Program) which is a condition assessment program to provide owners
with detailed information about a ship's condition, and the remaining life of
the vessel.
At present, there are about 2,100 ships registered to this society and KR makes
every effort to provide owners with the highest technical services for their
ship's operation and maintenance.
KR-CAP is an independent and thorough verification of the condition of a ship,
as well as a program to provide owners with better technical services
regardless of a ship's classification. |
