As a member of International Association of Classification Societies(IACS), KR is dedicated to promoting the advancement of marine related technology for the benefit of internatioinal maritime community. With its head office located in the heart of Daedok R & D Complex in Daejeon City and
a network of over 50 branch offices , KR provides technical services of highest quality and endeavors to stay at the forefront of key technology development related to ships and marine structures.

In addition to ship classification work, KR is endeavoring to become an eco-friendly and green organization for the maritime safety and environmental protection.

We have established Green Management program which comprises of a Green Standard, Green Technology and a Green Community. We will develop a Global Green Standard through a series of eco-friendly technical developments. We will also take a lead in Green Technology to ensure
a cleaner environment through R&D activities and by applying the most advanced technology available such as marine wind power, solar energy and fuel cell technology. And we are working to build a Green Community by emphasizing and practicing social responsibility in all of our activities.

In an effort to become more "customer friendly" society, KR has completely revamped its homepage.
