[Busan & Gamcheon Branch Offices] Technical Seminar for Lifesaving Appliances Service Supplier

 

 

KR’s Busan and Gamcheon branch offices jointly held a technical seminar for approved service suppliers for lifesaving appliances on May 29 at the Korea Seafarer's Welfare & Employment Center (KOSWEC).

 • Participants: 14 service suppliers
 • Key Presentations:
  – Amendments to IMO conventions and PSC deficiencies related to lifesaving appliances
  – Updates on information related to designated service suppliers


The seminar included a live demonstration of life raft inspection by Viking Life-Saving Equipment Korea, providing a valuable opportunity for practical knowledge sharing. The event concluded with an open Q&A session.

 


 

[Changwon Branch Office] Technical Seminar for K-Shipbuilding

 

 

KR’s Changwon Branch Office held a technical seminar on June 12 at K Shipbuilding in Changwon, focusing on recurring deficiencies identified in hull outfitting inspections and current issues related to tank testing plans during newbuilding projects.

The seminar brought together QM team members from various projects, with active discussions. KR and K Shipbuilding plan to hold such seminars regularly to strengthen mutual understanding and improve inspection quality.

 


 

[Busan Branch Office] Annual Technical Seminar for Wilhelmsen Ship Management Korea (WSM Korea)

 

 

On June 24, KR’s Busan Branch Office held its annual technical seminar with WSM Korea.

 • Participants: 20+ representatives including General Manager LEE Daewoo
 • Key Presentations:
  – Port State Control Detention Prevention Guidelines
  – IMO MEPC 83 Results and Compliance Strategies
