KR held its 62nd General Assembly on 22 February at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the meeting, following the financial report, KR's General Assembly approved the financial statements for 2023 and the appointment of executive directors.
KR reported a 17.8% year-on-year increase in revenue to KRW 188.2 billion last year, attributed to a rise in new ship inspection revenue, resulting in a net profit of KRW 13.8 billion. The proposed financial statements were subsequently approved.
Additionally, the appointment of executives to form a new management team was approved. KIM Daeheon, the Executive Vice President of the R&D Division, was reappointed. Meanwhile, CHOI Wonjoon, Head of the Management Support Office, was newly appointed as an Executive Vice President to oversee the Administration Division.
Both the reappointed and newly appointed executives will serve three-year terms, from 25 February 2024 to 24 February 2027.
Despite facing the challenges of global inflation and an unstable international situation last year, KR achieved significant results, including a strong earnings performance. As the business environment both domestically and abroad is expected to remain challenging in the future, KR is committed to enhancing business performance by strengthening expertise in each field and fostering a performance-oriented organizational culture with the new management system in place.
