[2025-EU-01] Guidance on EU Regulation Restricting the Use of PFAS-Containing Firefighting Foams.

The European Commission adopted Regulation (EU) 2025/1988 on 2 October 2025, which introduces new provisions under Annex XVII of the REACH Regulation(Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006) to phase out the use and placing on the market of firefighting foams containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFAS) at total concentrations of 1 mg/L or greater. This Regulation entered into force on 23 October 2025.
